The Junior League Will So Recruit Me Now
I’ve decided to become a do-gooder. Here’s the invitation I extended to my friends so they can witness my do-gooder debut:
Greetings friends,
For three days I have been dithering about how to write a compelling and memorable invitation to an event worth attending. The dithering has ended. Please see the below easy-reading version of the requisite compelling [...]
I Want To Go To There
Thank you to Tina Fey for giving me just the right words to express my feelings as we head into our fifth month of snow, rain and chill.
I took this photo in Tucson on Christmas morning 2 months ago. Sure would be nice to feel the 85 degree sun on my face about now.
By the [...]
We’re That Family
Every neighborhood has one — a family that neglects to take down holiday decorations in a timely manner. This year, we’re that family.
Here are Lisa’s “Top 10 Reasons I Haven’t Taken The Christmas Decorations Off The Light Post Yet”
10. Until last week it was snowing here, a lot, and the lights, bow and fake greenery looked [...]

If I Lose It, No Big Deal

No longer. I found these Oral B Pulsar battery-operated deals and I’m off and running. Leaves my teeth kissably fresh.
OK [...]
Skincare Junkie’s Favorite …
…Cleanser
Since RevitaLift is formulated for women over 40, it took a big gulp to purchase the Cream Cleanser.
Leslie Burford? Over 40? Yes indeed. Been there for some time but prefer not to think about it.
This cleanser is gentle for my sensitive skin and it exfoliates to keep fine lines at bay.

Roasted Mediterranean Halibut
In a large bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients except the lemon zest, and stir until mixed. Pour this mixture evenly over the fish, and sprinkle with the lemon zest.
Another One Bites the Dust
My favorite tree in my backyard, a beautiful Blue Spruce.
This photo was taken after a January snowstorm.
Last Wednesday a huge wind storm blew through the midwest and the wind gently pulled the roots of the tree out of the saturated soil.
We didn’t hear a thing, but found it the next morning once the sun came up. [...]
Feline Geometry
Leslie’s B&W cat, Montgomerie, gets lost in the background while imitating a zebra.
Wintery Mix?
The TV meteorologist who coined the term ‘wintery mix’ must have earned his way though TV meteorology school on a bartending scholarship.
I prefer to call it ‘nature’s slime.’
