It’s been one week since I wrote a blog post. Reasons to blame for this phenomenon include:
- My life is dull
- I’ve experienced no bodily harm this week
- I’m a boring WASP girl
Since each of the above are well within my control, except the exceedingly WASPy part, I assume all blame for my lack of contribution to the blog-o-sphere.
So I’ve spent the last few days trying to conjure up something to write. My wallowing reminded me of the pithy entries of one of my favorite authors, The Glamorous Miss Jen Lancaster. Jen recently wrote about the reader wrath that went her way when the rest of what I’m sure is her 24-hour-a-day-whirlwind-adventure-in-literary-glamour filled life (with quick calls from agents, corporate PR hangers-on, and Hollywood producers) pulled her away from her blog.
Just like the trouble my 9 to 5 inflicts on me.
Feeling her pain, I dropped a quick email extending my sympathy. Because I’m that kind of gal. And because I really hope I’m in her position some day.
Dang if Jen didn’t respond.
I’m the happy recipient of an original Jen Lancaster email. With my name on it. I can die fulfilled now.
As it is suitable for framing, I printed it on cardstock.
Because she’s that kind of gal.
